From a forestry campground along the Payette River to a permanent home near Cascade Lake, Shiloh’s story is one of God’s provision and faithful service.
A ministry begins
Shiloh began in 1937 under American Sunday School Union missionary Ray Chandler. Early camps met at Swinging Bridge Forestry Camp north of Boise.
A permanent home
In 1981, the Gestrin family donated 9.22 acres outside Donnelly. Additional gifts and purchases grew the property to 14.22 acres near Cascade Lake.
Built without debt
Cabins, the main lodge, bathhouse, caretaker’s home, and activity spaces were built through generosity and service while honoring Shiloh’s commitment to avoid debt.
Still serving
Today Shiloh welcomes children, teens, families, churches, and Christian groups. Full-time missionaries and more than 100 volunteers help make ministry possible.
